Hazel Muirhead

Born in Glasgow, I moved to Falkirk as a child and have never left.  I am a self taught painter and work from my rural art studio in Stirlingshire.  I paint in a realistic style usually in oil, acrylic or watercolour.  My work includes large bold colourful flowers, traditional still lives, enigmatic portraits and dramatic landscapes that capture Scotland’s rugged beauty.

I am currently exhibiting my paintings in the Central Arts Association’s  ”Ongoing” Charity exhibtion in Blossom’s Coffee Shop/bistro at Torwood Garden Centre, Larbert in aid of Strathcarron hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support Scotland.  I have been a member of Falkirk Art Club since 2005 and show my paintings every year in their annual exhibitions.  I have sold work in the Weigh Ahead Makers Shop, Dunblane High Street (2022-24) and have exhibited paintings in a group show in the Cyrenians Cafe, Dollar Park (2023-24).
